Quick Detour

I made the featured confession on the “True Office Confessions” Website! Woo hoo!

Yes, I know. I need a life. It’s still exciting.

Flattery Will Get You Everywhere

May 7th, 2008

This past weekend, I was so pleased to discover I had my very first “anonymous” comment. It made me feel so warm and fuzzy inside. So much so, I decided instead of banishing it to the comment section I would give it the recognition it truly deserves.

So without further ado, I present to you “Anonymous Coward” and his love for my blog:

Anonymous Coward | anon@anon.com | 196.46.71.251

This blog post of yours make you sound like a deadbeat loser.
If you can’t afford to pay to host your blog, you must be one low income earner, if you even earn at all.
Fuck I live in Africa, and a lot of people I know (including myself) pay for whole servers which are hosted in the United States at a cost of over $100 per month.
And yes, we all earn considerably more than $1 a day in Africa.
So much for the myth of rich Americans.
Yeah, shut your blog down. The web has enough dead beats already.

Can you feel the love? I mean, isn’t it just fantastic?

In all seriousness, thank you Anonymous Coward, for showing me how truly un-American I really am. I mean golly, had you not happened upon this blog, I would probably have kept my pitiful $86 all to myself. And by doing so, would have dispelled the myth of the rich American, plundered the economy and above all, let the terrorists win! I just can’t have that.

So again, thank you Anonymous Coward, for showing this deadbeat loser the error of her ways.

And Now, The End Is Near

May 1st, 2008

This morning, I received the bill for the next year’s hosting service for this blog. I am now faced with the decision of whether to pay for another year, or let this last year of keeping an online diary go quietly into the night. I’m seriously considering the latter. While it’s been fun and I’ve met an incredible group of people, I don’t know that it’s worth the money just to have a great theme. I could be doing it for free or not at all, just going back to reading and enjoying the writings of others.

And so I face, the final curtain. Decisions, decisions.
